Good example of probably being too ahead of their time. Manufactured when most guys ice fishing arsenal consisted of maybe one actual rod/reel combo and some stick poles with the pointy ends.....fold out tarp/plywood portable and if you were lucky, a humminbird super-sixty to check depth. Blew my bankroll on that, so had to steal my moms soup ladles and drill holes in them for ice skimmers.

Line just loops over trigger doesnā€™t take much to set off Iā€™m not smart enough to do a vid, I have one tho

Looks like fairly heavy springs. Must have a good snap when it triggers??
