Oh they won't, that would interfere with the out of state money for licenses.

Really they never shut it down during the drought in the mid 2000’s. It was way dryer than it is now. Should they shut down harvesting or getting cows out of the pasture to sale. Probably should do fishing also a bearing could go out and start a fire on the way to the lake or fisherman throws his dart out the window and starts a fire. Letting the govt just shut something down because something might happen worked out good in 2020.

I don't know Kurt, I have just heard from other friends that have been out west further. Say it is very very dry. If people are smart about it, probably wouldn't be any issues. Like you say, tossing a butt out the window is more apt to be the biggest no-no.

It’s dry but we have had 3 months of dry weather . Hell there were kids that were born that didn’t know what rain was till they were 5 years old from 02-07 The river was down 1.5 miles here from where it is now. There were only 3 usable boat ramps from Bismarck to Pierre. I see having rules in place and actually enforcing them but shutting stuff down that people wait for all year is way too extreme.

the further west you go the dryer it gets. when i was in montana sept 1st i was shocked how dry it was. saw several places where a few hundred acres had burned.

I see Burleigh made it a $1500 fine for off-road motorized travel, so no 2 track or prairie trail travel. Hopefully they enforce it. Runs to November 15 currently.

I wish they wouldn't have put it under the fire restrictions , and issued something separately about it . Kind of hidden in the article I ended up reading . I can guarantee you 50% or more of people dont even know this is in effect. Also they probably should have issued it about a week before Pheasant season , not during opening weekend . It is a good idea but I have been out and believe me there is plenty of prairie trails and section lines being drivn down

Hunted NW Bismarck had bunch buys walking, and I posted up at end of walks, damn feet no fucking good was tough hunt took all day fill out, but my framer buddies told me so, still a lot of corn etc... standing. Good luck to all we don't road hunt it is BS. Kid has drone works good for checking water holes and game area's I am sure things will change in future so is amazing. Heading to Mott area this weekend will see.

Why do you give a shit how someone hunts. It's none of your business or anyone else. You have no idea the circumstances of the person road hunting. Is he a 75 yr old man with a bad heart or knees. Hell he maybe a farmer just checking fields.

after 5 days of pheasant hunting im going to say the population is down from last year. Hunter population is way up. and i think drones for hunting is out of line.

Here the phez #s appear better than last year but won't really know until the corn is off. I missed 3 in a row Sat. morning and saw a few more. It's been terrible dry for the dogs to get scent and windy as hell. Better weather coming. Grouse numbers are down though.

You bash road hunters ( i don't condone it myself) but it's ok to fly a drone to check areas so you don't have to walk? I'm not positive but I'm not sure if that is legal if it is in my opinion it is not ethical hunting.

I dont pheasant hunt as much as I’d like to but when I do get time I like to take a nice long all day drive to see some of the fields and areas i used to hunt a lot and replay long forgotten memories from the good old days…. I’ll stop and walk a bit here and there with the dog but I will also road hunt harder than diddy at a diddy party…..straight pounding those roads…. hunt the way you enjoy as long as it’s not directly affecting someone else. Live and let live. Hell most of the time I just end up driving to get the F out of Bismarck and get back in touch with my country roots…..

I'am not a brain Scientist, but I think it wouldn't a bad idea if the Game and Fish would shut down hunting this weekend, it is dam dry out

Let's not get carried away now. Some of us hit the field prepared for bad things to happen. I've been out moose hunting several days this fall and I bring a rather decent sized dry fire extinguisher, a shovel, a fire (welding) blanket, and several gallons of water.

I'm not saying the risk of starting a fire is zero, or that under a 78 mph wind that I could get a small start under control, but let's face it...farmers are still driving their grain trucks, pickups, and combines in the stubble fields.

There are over 1,000 once-in-a-lifetime tag holders in ND this year, it wouldn't be reasonable to hand out tags and then say they can't hunt.

It’s obvious that our greedy Game and Fish want the $$$… can you imagine those non resident pukes up in Canada? They would be coming home minus shotguns, pickups, you name it. If they even let them out of jail.. Canada isn’t like ND and give them a $25 fine and call it good.

You might not know this, but the State Legislature sets limits on NR hunters, not NDGF. When you are talking about money in hunting, it's the pay-for-hunt, hunting lease, and outfitters that hold sway with the legislature.
