    Same experience as @Kurtr for me. The only problems I have is through a 10' line on a 20lb tank but once you figure that out once it's never a problem again.

    Yeah that wasn't meant to be a shot at you @espringers or hopefully anyone on this site, but I have had it happen a few times on some local honey holes.... Kind of frustrating when your goal is to be the first one out there and somebody sets up shop in your front door.

    Curious where you saw open water? I was in the area of pelican point on Monday and everything was locked up solid - 11" of ice and Pipestem had all the open water.

    I was part of their testing trial as they developed the NEO Arctic boots a couple of winters ago. I'm sure they've made plenty of changes to them but I haven't had cold feet on the ice when paired with a nice heavy wool sock.

    Fuel prices are irrelevant. They ebb and flow all the time. I've owned a diesel when it was $2.29 compared to gasoline at $4.29 and vice versa.

    I started with the Striker Ice Transporter and sold it after a year. The Scheels hard case stores the rods more to my liking and organizes my tackle better. I also broke 3 Jason Mitchell rods in that damn Striker case, drove me nuts! At the end of the day it's all about building your own...
