    M3, yea or nay?

I'm voting no, but am for the legalization. I'm not a fan of the "clean record". You did something illegal, it should remain there. I read the bill the other day and legalization also includes manufactured canaboids. That stuff is bad. It's legal in Canada in a week. Go up there if you want...

    Late plant early harvest

Sunlight plays a big role in crop development, but heat is also important. For every 10C increase in temp, biological activity doubles untill about 60C (sorry, the conversions to farenheit aren't linear). To account for this there's a thing called growing degree days (gdd). Crops like corn...

    How to pinpoint the "X"?

I agree, it's easy to get lost in a field at 4 am. When I scout fields, I use a range finder to figure out how far they are out then move my gps coordinate on the good old Lowrance H2O approximately to there. More times than not, we're right on the area. We'll walk around a bit and look for...

    Rock Tamer vs Towtector

I'd be debating whether to get a KwikPfyt or Towtector. Kwik is made in MN north of Fargo 30 miles and TT is made in SD, so both local products. Both use brushes to stop rocks. TT has two skirts and Kwik has 10 or so inches of aluminum plate above the skirt. Both are solid and easy to...

    Walleye Move Shallow??

Shallow walleye bite should be improving. They scatter once the turnover hits. That's when I usually troll deeper. But, I'll catch Walleyes on the ice in the trees in December too. - - - Updated - - - Also, the shallow bite can be really good and fun (Walleyes breach) when frogs and...

    dirt/field prep for trees?

Lycan, The soil pH you have is great. I wouldn't get worried about a low pH unless it was less than 5.5. ideal pH is 6.3 to 7.3 (your good). If you want to lime the soil you should test the pH Buffer of the soil. That number helps with liming determination. That's the pH trapped in soil...

Who's starting to get geared up for ice fishing?!

Once the rifle tag is filled, then it can become winter. There's some greatsoft water fishing mid-November. I did buy a new light for the ice house the other day. It was $40 at Home of Economy. Camped in the backyard with the boys the other night and it was great. I also saw Home of Economy...

    New Garage Build

The cabin shop has ceiling fans and that dries out the boat quickly from a rainy day and speeds up deicing and drying an ice house after a long weekend. - - - Updated - - - Tall and wide doors. This will make backing a boat into much easier. If you can, a drive through garage would be the...

    Finding fish???

You can see fish at 20+ mph with a flasher. As much as I like my down/side imaging HDS Lowrances, I still believe the best fish finder out there is a Vexilar Fl-18. I can pick out fish in trees/weeds, and it's as reliable as they come.

    best razors...

My gillete mach whatever has been good to me. I use that twice a week. I have a Remington beard trimmer that I like. When I go full beard in the winter and let it grow, I use grave before shave beard oil, beard wash, and balm to keep it under control.
