Storage Net Options - 2017 Lund Boats

I hang mine on the bow seat when in transport. When I'm fishing, it comes off the seat and set on the bow floor. Works great in my 20ft Yar and worked fine in my old 18ft Warrior.

    devils lake bug hatch

On the Fourth, all my walleyes were full of mayflies. Caught them in 32ft on a rock pile transition.

    devils lake bug hatch

When it comes to live bait, I'm a leach guy. However, during bug hatches crawlers seem to outfish leaches. I've always thought their protein/scent is closer to mayflys than a leach. In the past when I've seen bug hatches in July, if you fish more on the mud than on the rocks, you usually do...

    2-4D

This is the Bible on weed control. https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/weeds/weed-control-guides/nd-weed-control-guide-1 It even has instructions on backpack sprayer calibration. Adding an MSO to your 2-4D will improve its effectiveness. Small weeds are easier to kill. Dandelions are best controlled in...

    lake trout

Fort Peck would be the closest lake with Lakers. There's also one lake in the Black Hills (only sustainable Dakota population) that has them. Clearwater lake is on my bucket list.

    Devils Lake fishing - casino

The bridges at sunrise and sunset are always worth a try. Main Bay rock piles are starting to turn on as is the 25-30ft leadcore bite.

    Briskett

Ive had good luck with cheaper Walmart (Sam's are better) briskets and expensive ones. When picking, I hold the different briskets and go with the one with the biggest bow. You gotta do some trimming. The point (fattier end) will need the most trimming. Leave atleast 1/4in of fat though. The...

    Venison Brats

How warm did you smoke the sausage to? I do a 50/50 blend and found if I let the meat get hotter than 170, it'll be dry. So at 165, I pull the sausage and immediatley put in an ice bath.

    Liquid rollers?

If the boat is crooked on a roller trailer, I would drive down the road a mile or two without the transom straps. It would self-level for me. Cabela's has those skid kits (less friction) for bunk trailer that may help.

    Trolling

The poor man's down rigger (bottom bouncer to crank) works. Use to do that then switched to leadcore. Boards work, but the ones we typically use won't work with leadcore.

    Interested in a side byside

When you write the bill of sale, write it appropriatly so there isn't so much tax. I.e. you paid $10K for tracks, cab, and winch. Then $5k for a ranger.

    Devils Lake Chamber Walleye Tournament

Excellent tourney. Good fish can be caught almost anyway in Late June of Devils. Fish still shallow (pitching and working trees), fish on the move (trolling), and some have found deep structure (live baiting).

    Trolling Devils Lake

If youre looking for pike, go to the pelican lake area and troll along areas where the wind is/has blown. In a few hours you will be sick of them. If trolling crank baits, take the front hook off and up the rear hook a size or two to reduce snags. Pike will be plentiful at 5-10ft. Jaw...

A question for the farmers on here.

34 small grain fields and 1 pea field.were emerging between Minot and Williston yesterday. 30 small grain fields we're emerging between Minot and Lignite today. There's still a fertilizer shortage, but as gears change to edible beans and soys, the shortage will soften. Seems.like.morw...

Devils Lake - what lies ahead?

A lot of the inudated fields are now saline and that will take a few years to reclaim.

    Grass Seed

When my sidewalks get icey, I use cheap kitty litter. It has grip and the dark color speeds the melting process and it doesn't hurt my lawn like salt. This can create a little mud, but after a rain it's gone. For the excess fertilizer, about the only thing you can do is water the heck out of it.

    Grass Seed

Are you planting an annual grass and not a perennial? The NDSU Soil Testing lab offers soil testing services for $20/sample. Take some samples (about a pint) from the good area and bad area. Send them in separately and have them tested. That can give you a lot of insite to the issue.
