    The bill will probably fail again like it has the last several times, hopefully, but the Footloose Montana shitheads are persistent and will bring it up every year. I was in Missoula for the western NTA convention and was surprised there weren't any protesters there.

    Grass calves are a good way to lose your ass if your goal is to claim a loss, lose one and you're in the hole. I would go with pigs. Roughly 17-20 bushels of feed to bring one from weaning to butcher weight. With most commodities at less than 3 bucks a bushel it doesn't cost much to raise them...

    new 22-250 round

    It's hard to say 22-250 and fur friendly in the same sentence without hand loading. Even then you will get some nasty exits. The Winchester's suggested work pretty good though. Best get good at sewing, because there is no magic bullet for fur.
