    Not a huge fan but we've been making some damn good goose jerky with early season honkers in the past. Numerous other ways to make them very edible. Slice 1/2" thick, soak in milk to draw blood out and there is a variety of things do do from there.

    I have had a consistent hack for the last 2 days now. Brother in Fargo has asthma, can't take it more than 10 mins outside. It was a bit hazy today but didn't stink and could at least breathe.

    That's BS on the Landowner Elk Tags also. Depradation , my ass. Let people in to hunt and maybe you wouldn't have an issue. Some of these people likely could have 25+ licenses in their lifetimes while many public applicants may never ever draw.

    Will always take the moisture. Not a huge fan of getting totally dumped on with snow when colder than hell out when you know there isn't much moisture in there.

    I have always wondered about just slicing tomatoes, put on racks and then maybe dehydrate them. Maybe smoke for 3-5 hrs ? Use in stews, hot dish etc.

    Just took the dog for a walk. It absolutely stinks out there. Eyes burned all night after being outside for a better part of yesterday. I guess we do have to remember where most of these fires are. Timbered areas where its a little tougher getting into to fight the fires. Its not like out here...

    Lot of people I know from Jmst, Wimbledon, Kensal, Carrington area use to go up for salmon fishing 20 yrs ago. The 5-7 lb fish were no longer worthy of the trip.
