    Very true; I remember the days on NDO back early 2000s guys (I think I even did a time or two) would post exact directions on where birds were feeding. Of course, I had never been beaten to a field or probably even had trouble finding a spot to hunt back then.

    I've always kind of wondered, aren't there lots of guys that hunt ducks on Devils Lake? I assume most of it is technically private land (presumably posted), how does this work - if they stay in their boat are they ok?

    Definitely shop around, but I have also heard that premiums will be increasing significantly nationally. Suppose it makes sense with the cost of everything else. I switched from State Farm to American Family last year, saved over $800/year on homeowners and ~150 per vehicle.

    I can believe that; poured a slab in Bismarck last summer and Strata was 195/yd for 4k psi (204 after fiber added). So the OP's ~35 yards of concrete would be over $7k just for mud. Menards' website has a project calculator you could play with a bit; it only lets you go up to 40x46 though.

    My understanding is that it just guarantees you don't draw that year. Basically the same as applying and not drawing, except you don't get your money back. You can't do both the same year though.
