    PayPal Payment Question

If you are concerned, make sure to use Paypal for goods and services and not the "gift" feature. The 3% fee is there for your insurance where if you get screwed using the gift feature you are not covered.

    Fargo area taxidermist

I can't vouch for Chris's quality of birds but he did a deer for me that was outstanding. I would not hesitate taking a bird to him.

heated or not heated is the question

What do use for a heater in the ice house? Sunflower heaters work great for heating up. my wife uses the thermacell heated insoles and she has been very happy with them. They won't last a full day but keep them between low/off to maintain. A piece of foam insulation on the ice is a big...

    Women/youth bow hunting setups

If the arrow spine is correct, instead of buying new arrows you might be able to just get inserts to add weight. This should also help the FOC.

    Idaho Elk Hunt

Toilet paper for the pack. Could be a long day walking around with only one sock on.

    Handheld GPS units

I would look for a Garmin Oregon 600 or a Montana series. Both can be found for a good deal with a little patience. I don't care for the T verisions with the included topo as I usually use a ND Trax chip or out of state chip which includes topo. I have the Garmin Oregon 400 and the biggest...

    Toby

Someone mentioned NDA being a new start and clean slate. Might as well stick to it and let the reputation system do its job. Never hurts to have more articles. Who knows, could be completely different person when not moderating.

    Tents

When you say 2-4 man tent, are you looking for space of 4 people plus gear or a manufacturers so called "4 man" tent where you are required to be butt buddies to actually fit? What are you using said tent for? Time of year? Can you drive up to the camp spot and deal with a 35 lb tent or need...

    binoculars with pack

I have quite a bit of time with the Rick Young harness wearing a pack and have never noticed the cord lock when the pack is on. You can wear the harness a few different ways and actually get it setup where the binos aren't "bouncing" with each step. - - - Updated - - - What style of hunting...

    4th of July menu

Probably a big ass greasy cheeseburger from Betty's Pies, some smoked salmon and trout from Russ Kendall's Smoke House and some hot dogs/brats over the fire all near Duluth. And probably need some good beer to wash it all down.

    binoculars with pack

I still use a harness with my pack on. I put the pack strap above the harness as already mentioned. I use the Rick Young harness and it works great. Much better than those 1" wide elastic strap ones you get from Scheels and Cabelas.

bucks are showing great growth this early

Thats good to see. They've had perfect conditions this winter and spring. I'm behind the 8 ball and never got any minerals out this year or haven't done a single thing yet. Looks like more trips to the badlands instead of sitting in a tree this year for me.

    Long range shooting

Started with a stock .308 remington 700 sendora and a Zeiss scope. Pushed that to just a hair over 1000. Since then, moved onto a .260 and haven't had a chance to push it out past 1000 yet. Expensive hobby when just the stock costs more than many off the shelf rifles.

    Painting a rifle and scope

You could always pay to get your barreled action cerakoted or duracoated where it can get baked on which would be more durable finish. I haven't used the spray on stuff so not sure how it holds up. If you are doing a synthetic stock, make sure to rough up the surface some so the paint sticks...

    Building Your Own Custom Rods

thanks for the info guys. I'm usually pretty good at buying the supplies and letting it sit for a while so we'll see how quick I get to building one. Is everything in that startup kit necessary? Or is one better off buying individual building supplies?

    Building Your Own Custom Rods

I live in Fargo and saw this class about a week after it took place. It was less than stellar timing... I will try and get ahold of him for some info.
