    Ill second the smoked tullibee and whitefish. Goldeyes aren't bad either smoked...my Canuk friends love em. You can buy smoked goldeye in Winnipeg. You cant legally eat them in Nodak anymore but Sturgeon is also good, way better than paddlefish.

    Personal Fishing Goals

    Hopefully get my Grandson home for some fishing this year... got him into bluegills,bullheads, perch, and a Northern last summer. His first fish was a bluegill thru the ice last year on Crown Butte. Only problem is he is living in Japan. Daddy is USMC.

    Ill be on Leech but usually not a very good early season lake... will still cast a while near spawning areas, have had success in the past early with smaller bucktails . Might pull the boat over to Elk in Itasca SP.

    Walleye Taste vs Northern Pike Taste?

    Allen is correct you must cut out the dark meat on the skin side of a nice pike surrounding their lateral line. Also in Northern pike make sure you bleed them!

    Its a old book " A sporting chance" by Daniel Mannix published in the early 60's Interesting read. He hunts deer with a blow gun in La. Ducks with a boomerang, Coyotes with a trained Cheetah,traditional Archery, crossbows, falconry etc.

    In Scotland and Scandinavia it is considered poor form to NOT use a suppressor when big game hunting already. But is not required by law.
