    Love Ice Fishing or Meh?

New to ice fishing, so it's a little more interesting for me at this point. Did a ton of boat fishing growing up, but can't seem to catch fish like that anymore. Kind of a horse a piece deal.

    Yellowstone River, Eastern Montana

Any of you western boys or eastern Montanans know much about the Yellowstone? Headed that direction for a hockey game and wouldn't mind getting some flies wet if possible. Headed to Sidney but willing to drive to Glendive and then go north on Montana 16 if there was something to fish. Appreciate...

Fishing shows, what type of fishing do you like to watch most?

I don't honestly remember the last fishing show I watched. I agree with Mike though that I might watch more if they did more this is the structure we're fishing, this is how we're fishing it, and why. It's great that they can go out and catch a bunch of fish, but unless you are going to share...

    How Healthy is Your Venison?

I've become quite interested in eating all around more healthy in recent years and now pay a little more attention to how much and what kinds of fat, as well as how much sodium and cholesterol is in a lot of the foods I eat. I haven't gone entirely awol however, as I don't count calories or...

    The Dog Thread

First up, Rocky-dog aka Moose the 100+ lb. shorthair. He wasn't ever much of a retriever, never was trained to be, but damnit could that dog point birds. There were times my dad would get downright pissed at him because he would hunt behind us and hold up on point. No way there's a bird there...

    So...I got a dog

I don't own a Vizsla, have spent some time around a few, but as far as I'm aware they are virtually the same dog as a GSP, just different color. Same body type, coat, personality, etc. High strung, so she'll need a walk AT LEAST once a day. Lots of fetch in the backyard. Put her to bed tired...

    Deer euro mounts

You don't need a taxidermist to do a good euro mount. I may have a guy if you're interested.

    Any Amateur Photographers Here

The Sony RX100 IV isn't an SLR. Regardless, H82 is correct, don't shoot in auto. Put an hour into reading about your camera and what functions and settings to use in particular situations and you'll be 100% better off.

    Any Amateur Photographers Here

Absolutely unnecessary to shoot in RAW to capture great sunrise/sunset imagery, granted you do have to know what settings you're shooting in and where to focus for different effects. Some of the shots I've taken in .jpg

Bass Pro Shops Consider Purchase of Cabela's

Taking Wags fishing doesn't count as guiding for a kids camp. No doubt it's probably a ton of work, but it still doesn't count. :D

Odd mice and how to get rid of them.

Odd mice and how to get rid of them.

Moles and voles are VERY different creatures. Voles look like a short fat mouse with half the tail. Moles are quite large, sometimes have a pointy nose (check out the star nosed mole, those guys are freaky) and gargantuan front feet for digging. They also have virtually no eyes. Eyes don't do...

    New Beehive for Lyconthorpe

Honey can be fermented to make alcohol because of its high sugar content, similar to a lot of fruits, but I don't believe it's used in a base for beer. Honey wine is I believe is called mead, it's Hungarian or something.
