    Stenehjem's emails recovered

OFFS, can't a guy even ask a fugging legitimate question around here? It's like I asked for people's fishing spots.

    Stenehjem's emails recovered

LOL, I am quite sure stranger things have happened. But that "eyes in the door" stuff makes sense. Sounds like they are fishing in what they hope is a stocked pond.

    Stenehjem's emails recovered

Tell me more about this federal judgment against him and his refusal to pay it. Going over budget is not usually a crime in and of itself. Shiite happens, but that is an eye-watering amount to be over budget. That last one about Holmgren is amazing in and of itself. How there isn't...

    Stenehjem's emails recovered

Just curious here, but what does one think could be found in the emails of the deceased? It would seem to me that no law appears to be broken by the deletion of the email account, but it sure has brought a perception of impropriety. We've had a number of AGs in ND since the invention of...

I think Tuna will need a few more posts before he can go to PM's.

    Pontoons for fishing?

Yeah, one can, especially down on Oahe or the flats of Sak where you're not trying to stick along an irregular shoreline. But if you do that on most of Sak you are going to get a lot of tangles when trying to keep a particular depth on a shoreline.

    Pontoons for fishing?

Just like out of a boat, you can pretty easily fish 4 lines while running cranks, if you are wanting to run more than that you should probably use planer boards.

    turkey hunt

I usually have turkeys around come spring, but haven't seen any lately. I'll let you know if they start showing up around here. I'm out by Lincoln, BTW.

    Pontoons for fishing?

The 150 Merc 4-S on a 22 ft tritoon idles at about 2.2 - 2.5 mph in forward gear and a medium load of humans. Closer to 1.3 mph in reverse at idle. Hence why I pull spinners a lot of time in reverse if the wind isn't favorable. If idling in forward, I best be pulling cranks as it's too fast...

    Pontoons for fishing?

One should be able to fish 7 bobbers, so long as the fish don't have a preferred side of the toon. One in each corner from designated chairs, one off of the couch, the driver, and one off the very front of the toon while sitting on a cooler.

    Drought?

Most people would agree that floods suck, water where not wanted can be awfully destructive. However, droughts are far more likely to cause long-term changes in population as people move away from droughts.

    Boats seats

Kind of the same concept as mesh office chairs. We have a few, and while they are not my preference for my desk, they are pretty comfy. I think I'd like them more in the boat. Perhaps a lot more. Especially if they were as durable as my now 20-year-old vinyl-covered Lund boat seats.

Cool machines, never seen one of them before. I wonder how well they would work on grounded ice as opposed to ice floating on water?

    Bismarck high water.

The general idea was to create waves that would put Archimedes Principle into effect by creating waves that would lift and break up some ice. I am kind of torn on how effective it really was on a 3+ mile long ice jam. An argument could probably be made that every little bit helps.

    Bismarck high water.

Ice breakers are heavy, they run into thick ice and they ride up on top to push it down and break it. The draft of them is considerably more (I'd guess 8-10 ft for even a small, light duty ice breaker) than our average walleye boats which are often less than 2 ft. We don't have many boat ramps...

    Real Estate Taxes

Let's put it this way, just this morning I was reading an article about how California is losing its high earners as they flee the tax structure of California. They just went below 39,000,000 residents (legal???) for the first time since 2015...

    Real Estate Taxes

As a percentage, yes. However, the median home value is around $660k compared to the $232k here in ND. The property tax on a median home is about $4,700 in CA compared to $2,300 here in ND. Let's remember they also enjoy up to a 14.4% state income tax versus our maximum of 2.5%, state sales...
