    Body Found in Lake Sakakawea

Yeah that's stuff turns my stomach every time. I would have a hard time desensitizing myself to situations like that. That's why I have a lot of respect for paramedics, fire fighters, LE etc for what they have to deal with.

    Body Found in Lake Sakakawea

A dead body was found Sunday morning in Lake Sakakawea, east of the Van Hook Park near New Town. Mountrail County Sheriff Ken Halvorson reports two fishermen spotted the body Saturday evening. A search began at that time but had to be abandoned due to darkness and the muddy terrain. The search...

    Mosquito control

Haha. Isn't that the truth. I hate that greasy feeling too. I've damn near used a can of the crap this week doing yard work.

    Sak East End Walleyes

Last year it was actually good in late May, early June until the rapid rise happened. The water temp was close to 5 deg warmer last year vs this on the same day though too. The west end hasn't been too hit and miss. It's pretty much on, just slowish or streaky in the hook yet.

    Mosquito control

I was gonna say the same thing. I know tempo kills them. Gets a little spendy if I spray my 5 acre yard though. I think I'm going to walk around and hit the lilacs, grass in a 50 yard radius of the house and sitting water and see if it makes a difference.

    running planner boards ?

I have them but really don't intend to use them unless I have to. We had good luck with them on the river, but we had 3 guys and we were busy as heck. I gotta be in the right mood to put up with all that BS.

    Trollmaster

This is my first boat with troll master and I love it. I use my kicker a lot for trolling cranks, but also boat control in windy conditions and it really helps you dial in, as well as change speeds easy when cranking. Worth it in my books.

    Spring Tree Planting

Anyone ever plant Japenese lilacs? I've been looking at putting s few in the front yard and the local nursery carries them. Just curious on experiences.

What is the biggest Walleye you have ever caught?

Two just short of 10 pounds, quitters a few in the 7-8 pound range. Can't seem to break 10 though. I want one for the wall, hopefully 11 or better. Maybe this is the year.

    expandable garden hose

Dap hoses have horrible reviews on Amazon. Like less than 2 stars.

    It's a soaker

I like the rain. Not to the point of causing property damage, but I'd much rather see it wet than dry. We only scratched about .40 tonight. First rain in over a week here. Time for some sunshine though and a little less dang wind. - - - Updated - - - And yep, Mosquitos have hatched...

Are u a fair weather fishermen?

Since I fish a lot with my wife and 3 year old, yeah fair weather is the only option that keeps them happy, and my sanity in place. If I'm going by myself or with friends, I'll take a beating to get out there.

    Frost Advisory Tonight

Sounds like a rough night. We brought the wife's flowers in tonight. My potatoes weathered the last freeze, so they'll take this one. This is why the rest of my garden goes in tomorrow though.

I guess so far with my link remote, I've never had an issue with the remote not working wherever I am in my boat. Just have never attempted anything out of the boat.
