    I am also getting tired of the smog haze. This morning did have a nice crisp feel to it which I love. I like summer, but I love September mornings the best. Crisp when you wake up and mid 70's daytime highs. That's perfection in my books.

    This is not accurate. - - - Updated - - - In the big water, many times it takes and hour or two to find the fish. So I generally fish 3-6 hours when I go out. I'd take the 8, every lake I fish is at least 40 min from the house, so short trips seem wasteful.

    I've had a rough gardening year. Quite a few of my plants shriveled up and died. Quite a few of the rows I planted only partially came up. There's plenty of moisture....and I spread a half inch layer of manure this spring. So I dunno what is going on. Corn and potatoes look great.
