    maki plastic (pick your color) on a tungsten jig is a favorite of mine for crappies and gills. I much prefer fishing with 1/16th oz spoons or even lipless cranks for crappies when they are aggressive.

    i don't go to peg so my use of the jackal is limited, but I've had excellent results ripping your smaller rap (same size as #5rippin rap) on these slough fish.

    I have an lx3. great unit. works in shallow just fine. if you fish in 15 fow or more with others that have a vexilar you will piss them off haha. the lx3 dishes out interference like no other.
