    Skeeter...any issues with access/low water? What shape are the ramps in? Hopefully most ramps will get all the silt pushed back when the docks go in.

    I've had my Motorguide Xi5 for 3 seasons now...not sure I would ever consider going back to Minn Kota...the Xi5 is a great unit...IMO.

    Personally...I don't like wind much over 15mph...impacts how quickly I can get from point A to point B. On those nice light to moderate wind days, I usually start out trolling the windward side and go from there...but that's just me.

    Speaking of batteries...I bought a new crank battery this year/dual purpose 27 series. Got the boat out of storage last night...went to put the new crank batt in so I could trim up the motor for the drive home...and the battery tray installed is too small! Got it in there/connected/strapped down...

    Audubon Ice Conditions

    Fished the Turtle Lake ramp area last Friday...shorelines were starting to go...ice still 16inches but rotting. Can't imagine there too many places left that a guy could get on without long boards to reach the ice?

    Usually jigs/minnows/shallow warmest water I can find. This year think I am gonna try trolling cranks shallow...5 to 10 fow. Few more weeks...might be earliest have had the boat on the water since 2016.

    DOT camera on 4 Bears bridge this afternoon showed river opening up on west shoreline. She's gonna go quick...guessing you'll be able to get a boat in at the casino ramp in 2 weeks.

    What batteries you go with for trolling? I'm upgrading my crank battery to a 27 series dual purpose. Trolling batts jumping up to 31 series...haven't decided yet on wet cell or AGM?
