No more messing with the clock in North Dakota

^^ I said "for selfish" reasons Short. I absolutely agree that spring/fall additional light in the afternoon/evening is beneficial. Again, for me personally, I would rather have the extra light in the mornings. Guess we'll see if it passes and becomes law...either way...I enjoy the longer days...

No more messing with the clock in North Dakota

That's a valid point Rowdie. I'm blessed to be able to work 4 10 hour shifts from May till October...so I have every Friday off. I guess I take for granted the fact that if the wind doesn't shut me out, I am heading south with the boat every Friday morning at 6AM! Only time I appreciate the...

No more messing with the clock in North Dakota

For selfish reasons I would rather the state stay on Central Standard Time year round. Still would be light till about 9PM, but would start getting light at 430AM...I'm an early riser! From June thru September I prefer fishing in the morning...rather have more light in the AM...just my take!

    Sakakawea Water Level 2020

Allen...just curious...how does the NWS typically put together a "long range" precipitation forecast for the upper mid west? Expected storm tracks from the Pacific, Canada, the arctic? Historical averages/La Nina? Just interesting to me...currently the 3-4 week forecast shows above average...

    Sakakawea Water Level 2020

Just checked the snow pack reports for Montana...they look much better than they did in December. Hopefully they get some additional good moisture next 6 weeks. I find myself looking forward to spring and open water fishing earlier and earlier as I age. #$%^&>

    New cranking battery

Think I may replace my crank battery as well this spring. Currently have a 24 series Interstate crank. Looking at a 27 series Dual Purpose for the crank batt...which also runs my main live well and console graph. Any issue with a Dual Purpose batt being able to fully charge off the big motor?

    Ice conditions

This feels like winter 2016...never cut thru more than 20 inches of ice...had the boat on Sak last week of March...ice in the bays was all gone.

    New cranking battery

If I go with the AGMs for my trolling motor, do I need a different on board charger or an adapter for the AGMs or no difference to charge the AGMs?

    New cranking battery

I'm gonna upgrade my trolling motor batteries this spring. Currently have 2 27 series Interstate deep cycles...gonna go with the 31 series Duracell AGMs. If anyone wants the Interstates just shoot me a PM...they only have 2 seasons on them.
