    wlyhntr, I'm with you on this one. Jan 1 fishing the river in a boat on the last El Nino 55 degrees. River froze over in late Jan for one week was fishing the river by March 1. fun year that one. This El Nino is warmer then that one.

    The way I do it is make the sausage put in casing hang sausage in smoker get temp up to 165 to (opens up the meat) give her the smoke for 1/2 hr or more depends who's there and how much I drink or how much smoke you want.

    went out on Sunday, 2 of us caught 7 fish in the Bismarck area all on jigs released 23"and 24" prior to that would go out south of rifle range caught 2 fish in 4 hour Sucked. Last week caught nothing but Little northerns 7 of them bad boys. So you can do with this report what you what.
