Electric boats? coming soon or probably not?

Jet-A most likely. I’m thinking that a small turbine powering a charging system might provide greater efficiency than a regular gas/Diesel engine. Just a different manner of “Hybrid”.

Electric boats? coming soon or probably not?

I still think there’s merit to a very small turbine engine powering a charging system for E-vehicles.

    "Hiker" style hunting boot recommendation?

If they fit like a glove does that mean they have individual pockets for each toe? I don’t think I’d like that.

    Buying a boat.

And anyone who's got the discipline to keep a shop clean and mouse-free has the sense to charge batteries now and then. I hate being such a cynic, but, you know the deal about "Too good to be true".

    Buying a boat.

Any way to see if there’s been an Ins claim on it? I’d be wondering if it’d been sunk.

Boat Wiring~ Onboard charger and trolling motor

I like being able to unplug the motor while charging so I have a plug. I also use a breaker. I'd start out with a 2-bank charger near the TM batteries and see if you even need one for the main. Most outboard motors have 30-60amp alternators on them and put a lot of charge back into the main...

    Buying a boat.

So in a time of the strongest "Seller's Market" for boats in recorded history, you've found a cherry used boat for a good price but the only potential issue is that the fuel is old and the batteries are dead so you can't actually see/hear if anything on the boat actually works? What could...

    Buying a boat.

Look deeply into the compartments with a BRIGHT flashlight for signs of mouse activity. Before you buy it, bring your own functional 12V battery and see what electronics, pumps, lights, and switches work, and what doesn't. It takes <2Min to swap a main battery and at least you'll know what...

    Car restoration

My dad bought a '37 Chevy Coupe in '67 for $50. Did a full frame-off restoration in the late 80's. It was in the body shop for 3yrs as a side-project for dad's 2 buddies that owned the shop. A big part of the time involved then was sourcing parts pre-internet meant walking through wrecking...

MT Elk & Deer results out today

I wonder how many will do the outfitter PP deal, hunt elk with their outfitter then go back hunting deer on their own late season sans outfitter and get nipped? As I understand it, if you're afield for elk/deer in MT w/an outfitter sponsored extra PP license, you have to be afield WITH the...
