    Spotting Scopes

Bought a Cabela's brand spotting scope at least 20 years ago.Still use it and think it works pretty well. Have no idea who made the scope for Cabela's. Works pretty well is a relative term. I think I see pretty good through that older spotter then I look through my son's $1000+ Leopold. Big...

    Favorite meal of the day

Breakfast is my favorite. Really like biscuits and gravy. Also right up there is sausage and eggs. Hash browns go with just about any other breakfast food. Occasionally like a bowel of oatmeal but cold cereal is only done when there is absolutely nothing else in the house that qualifies for...

    Cosby - Guilty

What he was thinking baffles me. Cannot understand the point of having sex with an unconscious woman. Might as well poke a hole in a watermelon. No sympathy from me other than feel bad that such a person was so revered at one time and now is just a pile of dirt. To make matters works at one time...

    Deal Alert!

Have no idea how space is handled at a mall. I assumed that a company owned the space and leased to whatever business wanted to open in that area. Is every space owned separately? Makes me wonder how Sears can set the price for anything they are vacating.

    My Willys

That looks like a good hunting rig. And it's about as original as they come. lol, Other than the body what hasn't been replaced? The good news is I'm betting that everything you have replaced made it better.

Extended warranty Aul, Delta Auto Protect or Endurance.

I rarely put more than 100K on a vehicle so I can say that in the past 20 years an extended warranty would have been a complete waste of money. Cannot think of one instance where I would have used it.

    Reloading for first timer

Notice - not one of these suggestions mentions anything about being able to do it cheaper. You can do it a little cheaper if you want to copy the shells you can buy at Walmart but that is not the purpose of reloading as every suggestion above concludes.

    24v trolling motor batteries.

You have no idea what a great buy you made. The hours spent in that boat with your little buddy will help shape him into a great young man. My kids are in their 40's and we still hunt and fish together as well as my grandkids. Wish I could hear a tape of your discussions out on the water.

    Reloading for first timer

All of the above. + Get yourself a good manual and follow it. You can experiment a little but my experience is that whenever i went a little over the maximum charge, my accuracy suffered quite a bit. As was mentioned, you will not save much money, if any, because you will graduate to higher...

    releasing/relocating turkeys

Wild turkeys are cute and interesting until you get too many. They co damage when your flock gets bigger than a few. If you have any neighbors who feed livestock in the winter they are not going to be happy when the turkeys move to their farm. Turkeys can be worse than deer in that fences don't...

    Patrick McManus

Wasn't it McManus who described the "Perfect Hunting Vehicle" as "Any vehicle that someone else owns."

    Patrick McManus

One of, if not, my favorite authors. Have owned and read most of his books. Didn't know he also wrote novels. His outdoor stories were comical but realistic to the point where most of us have had similar situations happen.

How many Crankbaits do you own?

Over 100 and less than 1/2 of them have ever been in the water. Looked good on the shelf and I liked the color.

    Window Peeker~

I was wondering what was going on in the bedroom that was so entertaining to the moose.

Of All the Places to Brag About Your Origin

I am also a hunter and fisherman who hunts and fishes as a non-resident. Don't mind out-of-staters at all as long as they operated under similar codes of ethics. Have no use for any hunter or fisherman who thinks they can do whatever they want and just because they bought a higher priced license...

    Active Shooter on Youtube Property

Well, you can't have a gun in school so obviously you need a thicker book. Perhaps 'War and Peace' will make a comeback.

    Boat flooring repair?

Did the floor in my boat, not a real big job but I"m retired so time isn't much of an issue. Don't want to be doing this in the summer when you want to use your boat, not work on it. Because of that a heated shop is pretty necessary. If you have the time and space go for it. If you have neither...

    Badlands hiking

Snake boots have been mentioned. Might also consider snake gaiters. Less cost to accomplish the same goal I would think. Truth is, if you use common sense, your chances of being bit are pretty low.

anit gun protest - epic troll

Without a doubt he was there to antagonize people. But then, so were the others in the crowd. Funny how it's OK to incite possible violence that is allowable based on which side you're on. The liberals seem to think anything they do is OK based on their beliefs. Not so OK when the shoe is on the...
