Increase in hawk and owl populations

Have a pair of red tails that have nested here for years. They are territorial and keep other birds of prey out. One day one of them dropped something from its perch. A friend walked over and it was a hen pheasant. He said that's it, I'm shooting. I said nope, that will only create a vacuum...

So did fishing buddy finally kick the bucket?

In 2010 the (TON) or Total Outdoors Network was created merging Nodak Outdoors LLP (nodakouthouse) with Nodak Network (Fishingbuddy.com, DuckHuntingChat.com and SDOInsider.com) DuckHuntingChat is on-line and doing fine. Nodakouthouse is on-line but nobody reads plainsman and his three friends...

    Initiated Measure Approval???

The legislature cannot make any changes to the ND Constitution. They do/can place on the ballot clean up items or language that someone noticed needed to be up dated. Only the people can make changes through an initiated measure. Some people glomb onto that like "F" those elected...

    60 minutes

Anyone catch 60 minutes segment last night about wolves? National Parks Service Doug Smith likes them very much. Randy Newberg says wolves don't have a rainbow shooting out of their ass. Watch it here...

2019 ND Legislature and ND Sportsmens Etree

It wasn't a call on the phone. I believe I was standing at the window paying $300 bucks for an outfitters license and the clerk told me about the tags at $250 dollars times 5. It didn't take me two seconds to say no thanks. There are many rules to become an outfitter. Back when we were...

2019 ND Legislature and ND Sportsmens Etree

A few years ago it was five. As an outfitter, I was contacted by Game and Fish. I declined. That would have been a fucking wreck. I would guess very few outfitters purchase the five tags and then resell them with a hunt. Not worth it.

    Deer Baiting Ban

First, a stinky slurry is made from decomposing cow guts then fed to mink. Fat skinned out decomposing mink carcasses are made into dog food. Guywhofishes buys that dog food for his poodle Royce. When Royce is done eating, Guy let's Royce lick his whole face. Yuck

    Deer Baiting Ban

Allen, that has to be one of the craziest things I have ever read on this subject. Wow just wow. There were two government facilities in Wyoming and two in Colorado. They were doing nutritional studies on mule deer. They died. So they limed the pens and brought in more. They began dying so...

    Deer Baiting Ban

Eye, didn't you used to raise mink, fox or something? Did you buy feed? It would be interesting today to source where the protein parts came from back when. Bone meal used to be used a lot before Mad Cow. So they diverted much bone meal to be used as fertilizer. Now they are finding protein...

Meelosh, were you talking to me? Or were you making a generalization that people would be remiss, to dismiss?

    CWD wanted to share this

guy said, Like Nanky said in the deer baiting ban thread, " Guessing CWD has always been around and we are seeing it more because we're looking harder for it. " There was one case in Iowa that had everyone scratching their heads. A deer farm that had not imported an animal in over ten years...

    Deer Baiting Ban

Captive deer are under the bailiwick of the Game and Fish while farmed elk and bison are not. The Ag department and the Game and Fish work very closely together because many diseases such as tuberculosis overlap between wildlife and livestock. Shared information, resources and equipment. That's...

    CWD wanted to share this

After heads are collected the brain stem and a lymph node taken under the jaw are removed and sent in an alcohol formalin. They go to labs such as University of Minnesota or Michigan. If a "suspect" is found it goes to Aimes Iowa for conformation.

Earth is round. So which time zone do you live in? Today at the ND Board of Animal Health meeting, Casey from ND Game and Fish reported they have two cases of CWD in the southwest part of the State again. They have not done a full blown press release because they had a little mishap. A buck...

anti-vax, Meelosh is talking about persons who question vaccinations to infants. They claim giving a cocktail of vaccinations from diphtheria to polio all at the same time, is causing autism in children. Anti-vax is a term used to make fun of them. Flat-earther is another term used to name call...

    Deer Baiting Ban

Pure fiction. The farmed cervid industry does not post misinformation nor spread disinformation. Peer reviewed research...…….before a researchers thoughts or hypothesis can be printed in a Journal, others in the field must referee his/her material. That pretty much sums up what goes on here...
