I did well again this weekend on Devils in 9' , worms on just about any color spinner . Find weed lines you'll find a quick limit . Did end up catching a lot in 11-14' feet also . Size was great thru back tons on 14-16" fish
I fish Devils every weekend and have talked to lots of folks that normally kill them this time of year but are having a hard time this year . In June I think it had to do with the inconsistent weather , I've been getting on them but it's been hard to find them some days . Not as easy as last...
no , I didn't, and it worked fine, they are fabulous, all I did was cut them out, put in cold water in fridge until I wanted them, then I dried them a tad, shook in bag of reg shore lunch and deep fried to golden brown, absolutely fabulous.
I have a 08 trophy 175 and fish Devils , I also have been in waves I probably shouldn't have been but never felt unsafe either . I absolutely love my boat and have a 115 4 stroke on it , could use a 150 but for way I fish the 115 works fine , I wouldn't buy a boat that didn't have wide gunwalls...
I catch fish all summer on spinners and slow death rigs and I always fish with 2 poles 1 by me at drivers seat and one in a holder at back of boat , I bet 75% of my fish are caught by the one at the back of the boat .
Nice job ! IMO , 26" walleye isn't big enough to mount , for me it would have to be atleast 28-29" but to each their own . I think you made a good call on doing the picture for this one , it is a nice picture and beautiful walleye
