    Tile Showers

This is all good information. I have done many, many tile showers. First on the base- yes, a tile floor can be a PITA to clean. But, tile certainly looks better. A fiberglass base will definitely save you time and money compared to a Schluter base. But if you choose to tile it the...

    Cold Front.....

I am in SD and fished on December 13th last year. Used the waders to kick open the ice around the ramp. Latest I ever fished was December 21st in this area. I hope to get lots of fall fishing in yet.

    electric floor heat question

I am not 100% sold on tankless. We have put them in a lot of houses and it's about 50/50 of those who like and dislike them. Depending on location of your water heating device time can really vary on how soon you get hot water. Some also claim a cycle where you get hot, then warm, then hot...

    electric floor heat question

I would guess your REC may even do install for you. Do that for now, set your account to balanced billing to spread the winter pain out, and save up for a NG boiler. And it wouldn't hurt to have someone take a look over the system to make sure everything is working OK.

Tell me about ground blind hunting.....

I've done a fair amount of treestand hunting all on private land with little worry of treestand theft. My wife is bowhunting now as well and has really only hunted out of very secure ladder stands. I'm not close to those hunting areas anymore but have decent access to public lands in my area...

    Time for a new grill....suggestions?

I heavily considered GMG and Traeger. After using each of a buddies, and looking at other models, I settled on a Camp Chef and could not be happier. $200 less than the Traeger of similar size with more features. It has been a flawless grill for me so far. At least look into them, I bought...

    Egress Window

Here it will run you about 4k to put an egress window into a finished basement from start to finish. We have a company that does custom concrete cutting and they do a great job. All hydraulic ran saws, no fumes and stink. And they are chainsaws which work amazing, no dust with the wet system...

The Problem Facing ND Waterfowl Hunting

I agree to a point that the rat race is moving north. I saw more rigs every year I went up there. And, people started figuring out the dates rather than being sucker early all the time. But it is still a big place compared the where we hunt with lots of birds. The only thing I would say is...

The Problem Facing ND Waterfowl Hunting

Yes I do think it's that bad. I hunt in the same general area as you and it's the best for access in the state. That said, I've seen enough guys Go south or east and access becomes tough. And without living there or local connections it can be hard for guys to get their foot in the door to...

The Problem Facing ND Waterfowl Hunting

It isn't just Texas. SD has sold it's soul to pheasant hunting. The land purchasing, leasing, and commercial operations are slowly killing the resident hunter here. The only thing keeping this from happening with waterfowl hunting is the license cap. But as I said, that is slowly being...

The Problem Facing ND Waterfowl Hunting

A cap does nothing if you can't manage pressure in certain areas. Yes, SD has a cap, but during the peak time in November the hot areas are loaded up with R and NR alike. Everyone wants to hunt the peak time regardless of residency. Weather patterns have become a huge part of things. Look...

    Kitchen Countertops

Some good info above. I believe it really comes down to budget, then what look you want. Laminate can be as inexpensive as $15/sf while quartz can cost you $150/sf. It isn't an apples to apples comparison. Laminate has come a LONG ways. Very attractive patterns and textures, some of which...

    Sturgis, anyone going?

I've lived here for 25 years. This is by far the most poorly attended rally I can remember. Last year was nuts, roads were crazy, everyone had their house rented, just madness. This year I don't know of a single person who rented their house. It does not hurt my feelings at all however!

    Wandering throttle

I've spent a ton of hours towing watersports with outboards and I/O's and I feel there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. When a skier or boarder turns, cuts, or whatever the load on the boat and motor changes. If you're just pulling them straight behind the boat it is easy with a...

New South Dakota state record salmon ?

I know guys fishing and two fish a day is a good day right now. Size is good but it's a big lake and not many fish. They'll be fine.

    Nwt Mobridge

Always going to have tailpipers in a tournament, gentlemen's agreement or not. But, is each scenario a tailpiper? I mean lets say I have fished the pillars before. Hear a couple guys are doing it and give it a try? I can't say that is exactly tailpiping, it's just that there is a small...

    Toughest Duck Floaters

The Avian X birds have been pretty tough from what I have seen. Decoys are getting crappy expensive. I bought some cheap Flambeau mallards about 5 years ago from Cabelas to use as fillers. Put a clear coat over them and they have been tougher than nails! I am impressed for $20 a dozen LOL...

New South Dakota state record salmon ?

Unless it made it's final run in September and ended up rotting away in Whitlocks Bay LOL! The lake herring are adding some nice weight to the salmon these days. Not a numbers game of course but good size!
