Networked HDS 8 gen2 and HDS 9 touch... Now what?

No, it would have to be Gen II touch. Guy, that camera looks nice. So it's a Sony? What do you think so far? Apparently you can turn the LED's on and off? Are you using the cig adapter, or did you cut the wires and hook direct up to a small 12V or what? Sorry for all the questions but it's a...

    New Clam Ice Fishing Gear

I hear ya, they just announced this stuff a couple days ago. Hell, I haven't even begun to seriously muskie fish this year yet. That will go right up until December 1. I am getting to be less a fan of the winter every year, but since I can never move I might as well make the most of it.

    New Clam Ice Fishing Gear

Clam recently released some new clothing and gear for the year. http://stores.clamoutdoors.com/new-for-2016-2017.html This gear box conversion kit looks interesting. It mounts to your existing Clam plate to allow the use of 8 and 9 inch augers...

    iPilot Remote

I had a the Motorguide on my boat for two weeks and then switched back to my Terrova. The anchor and jog feature is awesome for sure, and the thing turns real fast, but not having a readout on power level (or all the other functions for that matter) is a serious PITA. Relying on the beeps to...

    best charts for HDS9 touch?

I use the Lowrance HD charts. Not sure if you used to run the old Lakemaster chips in Lowrance before they switched to Humminbird only, but for the MN lakes I fish (Detroit Lakes area), and Devil's Lake, the current Lowrance charts are the exact same as the old Lakemaster. In most of the...

    Question for the Lawn Experts

This is only something that shows up this time of year. Otherwise the lawn looks very uniform for most of the year. This is a very plush lawn with almost no weeds. Gets lots of water from the English Coulee.

    Question for the Lawn Experts

Every year around this time I get a couple of lighter patches of grass in my front yard, and it seems to be in the same location every year as well. Any ideas? Fungus?

    automatic charging relays

I think you would be very happy with the Interstate group 27 XHD starting battery. It should keep your graphs from losing enough voltage to reset them when starting the big engine. Plus when your graph resets like this without a proper power down you loose your trails for that trip.

Lake Sakakawea - Local nickname locations of fishing spots???

My friends and I make up names for a lot of our favorite spots. The giant redwood, deep throat, food shelf, Peggy's hole, shits and giggles, Northern alley, the steeple, 50 flats, ect.

Networked HDS 8 gen2 and HDS 9 touch... Now what?

I believe my Gen II touch updates 1 time per second, whereas the puck updates 10 times per second. The Gen III's may be different. With the ethernet connection its nice when you make or delete a waypoint/trail, or edit a waypoint/trail it updates it on both units. The newer units can share 1...

    Cass Lake, MN Fishing?

Are you going to Cass this weekend? I will not be fishing this weekend, if you want to bring a rod and a few baits I would set you up. You would be responsible for the gear if anything were to happen, of course. And I have no tolerance for backlashes on my gear! - - - Updated - - -...
