    well... i took the dive

Congratulations. Marriage is hard work, but also very rewarding. I liken it to a garden...it needs constant weeding and tending in order to produce a crop. Three points of advise for you. 1. As an outdoorsman get all your toys bought before the wedding...even the stuff you "might need"...

Boots - i want good ones

After having a pair of Kenetreks, I am on my 3rd year with a pair of Danner Canadians. I found the Kenetreks to have a pretty narrow base that was prone to rolling if I was on rocky/uneven ground. The Kennetreks soles are great on rough terrain because you don't feel sharp surfaces/rocks, but...

best no til fall plot seed

Good point. Round-Up ready alfalfa would give you several years of low maintenance food plot and you could add what ever bait pile you wanted to it.

best no til fall plot seed

As late as it's getting you are going to be limited to greens and veggies. A brassica mix like gr8outdoors recommended would be good. Kale, beans, peas, lettuce, okra, spinach are a few other fast growing crops to consider. As you know growing a garden is a great way to draw in deer.

    Minn Kota Repair Info

Mine used to do this from time to time. If I unplugged and re-plugged my co-pilot connection a couple times it went away. Pretty sure it was a dirty connection... since I cleaned out the little holes I haven't had any further issues.

Scent Control - How far do you go?

Personally I think the whole scent blocker soap, bags, shampoo, clothing and everything else is the best marketing scam in the last 20 years. Your body oils continue to produce and the walk into your hunting grounds is sure to generate enough sweat to defeat the purpose of scent blocker. You...

I personally do not watch the group area for new discussions so would never have thought to look there.

    Toby

Vollmer...this is a bit of a hot topic. While we wouldn't do this for any other potential members....Toby does have some history. There is not much we can do about Toby coming aboard now, maybe in the future we could create an online poll and/or utilize the Founding Members to help you make a...

    Time for a new grill....suggestions?

Whatever you buy, I highly recommend going with an infrared unit. They cook better than any grill I've used...hot, hot, hot. The grates get a little messy since there is not place for the garbage to fall, I just pop them out and feed it to the dog (he likes that).

    Marathon Seat Covers

I have front bucket seats and when you order the front seats from their site, it is $190 for "1". I sent them an email to find out if "1" is a pair of covers or "1" seat.

    Marathon Seat Covers

Can you only buy direct from them or are their other retail options? Thanks for the feedback. I'll I've heard is they are the way to go.

Damn you! Not what I was hoping to hear....Is the fit that good too? Will they scratch my ass when it itches too?

    Marathon Seat Covers

Was on Marathon's website last night looking at seat covers. Holy sticker shock!! $600+ for front and rear seat covers in Realtree waterproof cordura. Now I'm willing to pay that mount if they are truly that good of a seat cover. Anyone own them?

    boat trailer psa

I've been down this road also. Mine story was roadside in the DL area at o'dark thirty with mosquitos eating me alive. The solution I use is to replace seals every 2 years, inspect bearings (Timken) and races and then repack. I spent $10 on a bearing packer and that is nice. Once you do it...
