    New Clam Ice Fishing Gear

The clam stuff doesn't really excite me, i think their quality has been going down for a while. The Milwaukee/k-drill combo is definitely tempting. I have a Honda strike master that i love, But for early ice it would be nice to just pull a trigger and drill. I saw several guys using them last...

    Base layers

Like others have said Merino is best. Those standhunters would probably good for just sitting though. I wouldn't want to do anything active in them. A personally buy Patagonia Merino tops and Capilene bottoms(dont sweat much or ever get cold legs so cant see spending the extra $$ for my bottom...

    new hiking, hunting boots

Since they started making them in China the pronghorns suck. They still make a few boots in USA but they aren't that great anymore. They are heavy and the bob sole sucks for upland. This is coming from a guy who has always worn Danners. I just picked up a pair of Schnees Beartooth's. They seemed...

    Go to fishing reel

I think its hard to beat the Shimano's. I've used the Symetre, Stratic, Sustain, Stella and none have ever let me down. My dad has a Stradic that must be close to 20 years old and its still going strong. None of these have really been abused though, always in a boat. I also have Sedonas and...

    new cell phone

My only issue with Iphone is they suck in weather below freezing. They will rapidly lose power and are almost worthless during ice fishing. Mine will even go dead sitting on my garage workbench in my heated garage in the winter. Samsungs don't seem to have this problem or at least not near as...

    Thieving Bastards!

Yep standard padlocks are pretty much worthless. If they have enough time nothing will really stop them. The key is to keep stuff inside if possible. If not ,motion lights and several locking deterrents are your best bet. Unfortunately its frowned upon to use deadly force to protect property...

    F Under Armour

    Good tubing lakes

I hear MN has a lot of nice lakes for tubing :;:smokin I'd honestly just go to Sak, Audobon, Oahe. They all have plenty of space. You get to the smaller recreational lakes on the weekend and it can be a cluster!

    Thats alot of Benjamns

The hardest part of being a drug kingpin isn't how to smuggle the drugs, its what to do with millions in cash. A guy can only pay cash for so much stuff before you start raising red flags. Money laundering and tax evasion is what gets most of these guys put behind bars. Watch the "Cocaine...

    Scope on muzzleloaders

You can't make the laws perfect. There will always be guys taking shots beyond their or the equipments capabilities. I don't believe there are any laws against using your muzzy during rifle with any scope you want.

My Boat Is Mine All Mine.

Yep too many people think as soon as they pay something off its time to buy something else and the payment game never ends. Once your clear of payments start banking money and don't buy anything else until you can pay cash. Flip the tables on the payment game and save before you buy, not pay for...

    Scope on muzzleloaders

You can use a 1x scope. Muzzle loader is supposed to be a primitive weapon. The restriction is in place to limit the capability and keep it somewhat primitive. If you want to shoot long distance use a rifle.

    Owning multiple vehicles

Yeah gas savings wasn't my intent either when i bought my bike at 22. It was just a side benefit, but when you use it in place of your truck it is sort of a hobby that can pay for itself. I sold for several reasons, but not sure it will be my last bike.

Lake Sakakawea - Local nickname locations of fishing spots???

    - - - Updated - - - A couple of Moose West of Indian hills on Saturday. Nothing like catching nice piggie eyes with moose in the backround. They hung around for about 10 min.

Lake Sakakawea - Local nickname locations of fishing spots???

I think it may have been replaced with a sign that no longer says Pepsi but i'm not 100% sure on that. The problem with a lot of spots is that some of the landmarks are no longer there. There is no longer a "silo" and there sure as hell are no goats on "Goat Island". I believe the Beacon on...

Lake Sakakawea - Local nickname locations of fishing spots???

Yeah you kind of just have to fish and pay your dues and you will learn them. I've been fishing that area my whole life and still occasionally learn a spot. Pepsi is at the mouth of good bear bay if that helps...#$%^&>

    Owning multiple vehicles

When gas prices were at $4 i think a second vehicle penciled out. At current gas prices and for the foreseeable future i'm not sure they are worth it unless you maybe have a 3/4 truck to pull your camper and supplement that with a small car that gets excellent gas mileage for around town. I...

    Casino Fiasco

My only knock on this format is it seems to force guys into looking for small aggressive fish becasue you need to get fish on the board quick to not be eliminated. Since there is no limit on number they just sit there and catch small fish after small fish and rack up weight rather than looking...

    Glacier National Park

Yep northern ID is pretty amazing as well. Did a bike trip a few years ago through Glacier, Sandpoint, Coeur d' Alene. All amazing country. The best part was once over the pass on going to the sun road i just put my bike in neutral and turned it off. Coasted in silence all the way back down...
