    Question of the day

Fishing without question. You could fish every day of the year if you wanted to.

    Need your Vexilar knowledge

All you need is the 18. I have a 20 and some friends have the 28. They are nice with a little bigger display, but in all reality you just need something with a bottom zoom, and the 18 does that just fine. When I pick up another flasher for my kids/wife, I'll probably go back to the 18.

    Bass Pro bought cabelas ???

I like Cabela's a lot in EGF. Even though the Scheel's in GF is better now with the new store, Cabela's has way more fishing gear than Scheel's, not to mention more camping gear, smoking supplies, and of course the Bargain Cave!

Here is a huge fish as well caught by Jeremy Smith of Lindner's Angling Edge a couple weeks ago.

    Bottom Bouncer Thread

I love BB fishing Walleyes. You can fish any depth. You can fish almost any presentation. Plain hook, spinner, crank bait. 1 oz. for every 10 foot depth. Keep the rod in your hand and you can feel the bites....the biggest Walleyes actually feel like you've caught a weed. Nothing like setting the...

UND, Minnesota finalizing 2018 hockey game in Las Vegas

So they're playing BC in Madison Square Garden next year and the Goofers in Vegas the year after. That is super cool. One thing about UND hockey that Hakstol said is "We're not afraid to play anyone, anywhere." Glad to see that is continuing.......that type of attitude can only help a program.

Muskies to be Stocked in Pelican Lake after Judge Rejects Temporary Restraining Order

They have been stocking muskie in Pelican for over 40 years, so nothing really new, but they have not been in there forever like those lakes on the Mississippi chain. They have a couple big walleye tournaments on Pelican every year and the weights have remained consistent. FM Walleyes Unlimited...

UND, Minnesota finalizing 2018 hockey game in Las Vegas

I bet tickets will be tough. Be a good excuse to get out there again. I got married in Vegas so it's always fun to go back.

Muskies to be Stocked in Pelican Lake after Judge Rejects Temporary Restraining Order

Yeah, good news so far. I really hope the DNR does a good study of the entire fishery on Pelican so everyone can see where things are at and hopefully squash some of this muskie negativity. I really think this is less about the muskies on Pelican and more about lakeshore owners trying to keep...

UND, Minnesota finalizing 2018 hockey game in Las Vegas

Sounds like a good time.....haven't been to Vegas in a while. One of college hockey’s greatest shows is headed for the bright lights of Las Vegas. Longtime rivals North Dakota and Minnesota are in the process of finalizing a game that will be played just off The Strip in Las Vegas in three...

Muskies to be Stocked in Pelican Lake after Judge Rejects Temporary Restraining Order

Muskies were released Friday in Minnesota's Pelican Lake, despite efforts by some lake residents to stop the stocking. Otter Tail County District Judge Waldemar Senyk rejected a temporary restraining order by the Pelican Lake Property Owners Association seeking to block the stocking, so 813...

Mr. Maniac....that sounds funny. I believe we have a lot in common as well. No grudges. I thought it was a good list. #populationdensityiskeyhowever

Pelican Lake Property Owners Sure DNR Over Muskie Stocking

I thought this post was going to die. Guess not, so I will say one more thing regarding population densities, because it is the major factor regarding why catch-and-release is so important. Remember, you can keep a muskie in Minnesota, it just has to be at least 54 inches. Not many muskie...

Pelican Lake Property Owners Sure DNR Over Muskie Stocking

You explained yourself quite well. Thank you. - - - Updated - - - I hear ya, shorthairsrus. I need to protect what I like to do. Too much bias and disrespect out there for the musky and I just don't get it. Going fishing this weekend, so hopefully I have a pictures to put up between all the...

Pelican Lake Property Owners Sure DNR Over Muskie Stocking

So you'll accuse me of being arrogant while you're the one name calling and making statements that you can't back up but then you won't comment further? And you wonder why I get pissy? It's one thing to have an opinion based on some facts and knowledge. It's quite another when it's...

Pelican Lake Property Owners Sure DNR Over Muskie Stocking

Seriously? I'm not the one name calling. You're the one stereotyping musky fishermen and calling me arrogant. What I found laughable was an opinion (not you) and this statement in particular, Guy, "when musky get introduced then the people who pursue muskies win - but other people get the short...

Pelican Lake Property Owners Sure DNR Over Muskie Stocking

Each reply you make shows your lack of knowledge. MN is managing musky to make trophy waters. Read the PDF link above. It really wouldn't take much keeping of large musky to decimate a population. Even though they're still fun, I am not out fishing musky to catch a 40 incher. I want a 40 or...
