    Radon Mitigation

One last thing, I leave my home's furnace fan on 24/7. I figure that has to help keep the air moving throughout the house, and since the dog is in and out all day, I get plenty of fresh air introduced during the course of the day.

    Radon Mitigation

Actually, if you can "seal" off the sump that is connected to the drain tiling and vent it out of the house, that would be my suggestion. One has to get a little inventive to actually put an underpressure on the drain tile using the sump pit, but it can be done. The advantage to doing so is...

    Radon Mitigation

Are you possibly getting dumber by the fugging day? Radon is a serious health concern because it's a radioactive by-product of uranium's decay. Levels above 4 picocuries is above the acceptable level. There was a 20-something fella in the Jamestown area that died of lung cancer after having...

    Cross Ranch State Park

Growing up in the New Town area, I suppose I've caught a dozen cats (and pike) in the 19 lb range, but I've never landed one over 20 lbs. If I did, I released it without knowing. Lots of eater cats can be had in the right areas, and since Sak is cooler than the Red, they always taste great. -...

    Cross Ranch State Park

Sak does indeed hold trophy cats. One needs to start at Little Knife Bay and work your way west to find them. And find them you shall. A FROG under a bobber does wonders.

    boat trailer tires

Right, I live near Bismarck and fish some 60 times a year, at a minimum. In the spring those trips are fairly short, about 50 mile roundtrip. By the end of summer I am doing 170 mile round trips on average. So I figure I'm in the range of 6k miles a year on my trailer tires. If you smack a...

    boat trailer tires

I think that is more common than we may think. I own too many eff'ing tires and batteries to put the time/effort into "proper" maintenance. On a similar note...I wonder how many of us get our trailers aligned? I know I am terrible at doing this.

    cloud seeding...

Hah, I think you are a mechanic who is overstepping his knowledge base. Shocking, I know. You do know it doesn't take much effort to prove there are factually incorrect statements in that last post. There are active cloud seeding programs from Texas, all through western U.S. and on up into...

    Weather misery...

Sure sounds like the state is heading for an evening of misery today and overnight. Here's your chance of having a tornado within 25 miles of you later today: While everyone has a chance for some of the following, the westernmost part of ND is where the largest hail is expected and central...

    Recarpet old boat

Marine flooring is not cheap and SeaDek is a little on the more expensive side of marine grade flooring. I'd love to replace the carpet on my Toon with something like SeaDek, but with pricing at $147-170 for a 40" x 80" piece, it would be well over $1,000 for just the flooring. If one is...

Quite true. My comparison though is of similar boat layouts and length between the different brands.

    Fiberglass boats

When compared to glass, probably. But there's still a difference between the different brands of aluminum boats. My Lund Fisherman is nowhere near as wet of a ride as a buddy's Crestliner or the Tracker I recently drove.
