    can you imagine how pissed off some of the drivers on that highway must have been! Bunch of trainspotters running four wide going 50 miles an hour. I would have been fine with it though. Wish they didn't always put the modern locomotive behind the steam engine.

    Came swimming up under our dock once and one of those huge barn spiders jumped onto my head. OK it probably fell onto my head when I hit it's Web but either way it was spooky as hell! Went thrashing backwards like i was having a seizure! I must say it felt good watching the 20 or so bluegills...

    Did fairly well tonight from shore. We were getting bites about every third cast around sundown. Nice to be out on the sand beaches with the long rods once again. Fish look very good with lots of fat getting back to the football shaped walleyes that the Missouri river fish should look like.

    What a weird spring

    72 in February and we still have an hour or two to warm yet! Damn it feels nice out there and I can almost guarantee that on Monday when it's 29 for a high we're all going to act like a bunch of pussies because we're not used to the cold anymore.

    Not sure for the boats but beaver was slow when I was there. There were over 30 groups out on the bay and i had to wait for my buddy so watched from the road for a half hour and only saw two of the approximately 100 people catch fish a small perch and a crappie. I'm sure others did catch but...

    Somewhere around 80 boats out from fox to Hazelton and that's not counting the mandan side. Few guys are using Hazelton ...looks like they knocked down the ice on the ramp by 50% but its still got a hell of a speed bump so getting the big rangers out might be interesting. 35 rigs out at the gun...
