    I have an exceptionally accurate 25-06 Mountain Rifle and an equally exceptional 257Wby. Neither get the nod nearly so often as the 270. The 25-06 is also inferior to the 270, but not nearly as inferior as the 30-06.

    No. But I've gotten them in MN and MT and saw a bunch in WY and Ont and Alberta. They pretty much do the same thing/inhabit the same spaces everywhere I've seen/hunted them.

    Typically they'll sit in trees until the grass drys off a bit, no need to be in the woods @ the crack of dawn. The caveat to that would be if you have access to private land with trails, they'll head for the trails earlier because they dry quicker. Put in the most open choke you have...

    Snow Removal

    Unless you have a really low trailer or really long ramps, you're better off only moving snow as far as you're willing to drive on the tractor itself. If you don't have chains and wheel weights yet, you need them.
