    We filtered 35-40 gallons of river water through it in 8 days. No sickness and it seemed like it worked fine to me. Haven't looked at it since 2011.

    I believe it was last year's either chamber or casino tourney was won by 2 young guys in a ~16' tiller boat w/40-50hp motor. They were able to float over 281 when the big boats couldn't and they got the big fish they needed to win.

    Lynn's Dakotamart in Pierre SD has a pretty darned extensive gun dept in the basement. Cash-wise on 13th in Fargo used to have a hunting dept. Any Super WalMart that has groceries and guns......... That said, the gal is a firearms dolt.

    I took the MSR Hyperflow to AK for a week of Caribou hunting. We filtered ~5gal water/day for 3 guys to drink, cook, and wash with. I was pleased with it's size/performance/price. That said, I've/never used anything else.

    The only thing that damage OBC's is heat. As long as yours is somewhere it won't overheat, leave it plugged in. I've left several different models plugged in for months at a time at home in the garage with no issues at all.

    Crestliner has the same problem, at least through '06. Sum1, most of the AL boats still use wood in the floors/transom.
