    I remember that. Mallard hunting was unreal that fall with all of the crops that got disked under, they just wouldn't leave. Probably was 'baiting' technically but we were too young at the time to know that.

    VCR tape to digital file conversion

    Once you get them converted you might be able to upload them to a cloud-based service; I've used Google drive for some fairly large videos with no issues. Or you could put them on YouTube and make them private. No expert but could be a good backup in case a hard drive goes bad, etc.

    Seems he lived a life as full as a human could ever dream. Read an interesting story about how he got caught in the Armistice Day blizzard in 1940 while duck hunting and they holed up in a cabin for a few days, presumed dead.
