    I caught about an 8-10# pike a few years ago down on Oahe that clearly had about a 10" crappie laying sideways in his belly. His belly was about twice as wide as his back and you could just see and feel the crappie laying in there, Not sure how he got that thing down.

    You can make a cheap semi-rigid hitch by looping your rope through two pieces of PVC so the only exposed rope is where it hooks on your hitch. I've also seen cheap hitches made from conduit.

    Jameson really is incredibly smooth for not being too high end, Johnny walker black if you like a little smoke and McAllen 12 ain’t bad either. Nothing wrong with having a few different bottles. Pendleton for occasional mixing, crown for giving to your friends(to sweet for me, overated IMO)

    That's definitely a concern especially for us younger guys. Eventually Dems run out of other peoples money, and have to go searching elsewhere.

    By doing the Roth and 401K you are basically hedging your bets on future tax rates. Nobody has a crystal ball so this lets you play both sides of the tax game. Also, you can always withdraw your principle on a Roth without penalty in case of emergency, you just cant touch the earnings.

    General rule of thumb is to ALWAYS put enough in 401k to get company match because that's a guaranteed return. Then max a Roth IRA - $6,000, then go back to 401k, or possibly other investments depending on what options you have in company 401k. Watch the expense ratios on your 401k choices...

    Use a heavier weight above your swivel to straighten everything out and then have a 2-3' flouro leader below that with a small split shot about 6" above hook. I regularly use the coated line in 30'+ with current and do fine.

I’m still a youngin in my mid 30’s but was fortunate enough to have parents that instilled financial skills at a young age. I think this is one area majorly lacking...
