    Vlad the Vindictive

You knew it was only a matter of time before Putin's buddy Prigozhin met an unfortunate accident. Personally, I thought he'd die falling down stairs, or out of an open office window like many of those before him who fell out of Vlad's good graces. I guess that was too boring for Prigozhin...

    Caterpillars

Definitely not a Monarch caterpillar, I see those often and they are always on a milkweed plant.

    Highway 23 n 83

Cellphones are for sure a distraction. Probably the worst thing I've ever seen though was about 20 years ago on Highway 2 out by Larimore who was reading a damn book placed on her steering wheel. She wasn't even driving the speed limit and was weaving all over the road to the point where I had...

    New Mandan Boat Ramp Proposed

Hmm, me thinks they should consult a hydrologist. Cleaning off a ramp every now and then may get expensive. Or, is an annual dredge in this budget for X number of years?

    New Mandan Boat Ramp Proposed

Looks like one would be backing into a sandbar. Or is that just the trees reflection?

    Highway 23 n 83

Much like the intersection of 23 and 8 (north of Van Hook), I think there will be a roundabout there in the future. Not that it's inherently a shitty intersection, it's just that our current drivers suck at navigating it for whatever reason(s).

    Electric surf boards

The electric surfboard was invented in 1935, didn't really become successful until sometime in the 70s when it was reintroduced to the market. Originally a tool for Australian lifeguards to get to and help people in trouble. I have not noticed any in ND, but have seen them on the coasts.

    3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel

I suspect some of that is in compatibility issues with Tesla's charging network. I don't know the details, but I read recently that Ford signed some agreement with Tesla to make it easier to recharge Ford electrics.

    3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel

Did you see the article about a Winnipeg family that left theirs in the Twin Shitties on a trip to the east coast? Not exactly what I would call a ringing endorsement of the Lightning.

Not sure about Dodge, but the Ford version went the way of the Dodo bird a few years ago.

    Plow for side by side

Over the years I have used everything imaginable to clean various driveways, including a damn shovel. I have the benefit of LOTS of trees around my rural, circular driveway, so hard drifts aren't usually an issue even though snow storage is a problem. Nonetheless, my current favorite is an old...

Sak, it's been a good run!

We are expecting an El Nino to be in place through the winter. That's usually a bad thing for snowpack and runoff up in this part of the world.

    Thoughts on dent scratch

If nothing else, take it in for an estimate. First thing that comes to mind though is to get it fixed, professionally.

    Electric outboard engines

Not for me. I wonder how heavy the battery pack would be for a 20 ft walleye boat, and how long you'd be able to do 65 mph with it?

    Guides/Sak

Just guides? What about commercial fishermen, lumberjacks, oil companies, or farmers and ranchers? Lots of people/industries depend on public resources for employment. And this is about the only time you will find me defending guides as a group!
