    6.8 Western vs 6.5 PRC

The 7mm Rem Mag is often overlooked because the design is a bit dated, but it's a great long range choice. I'm launching a 180 ELDM at 3020 fps. That'll shoot flatter than a 300 PRC (or 300 Win Mag) with a 225 ELDM out to nearly 2000 yards, and do it with about 10% less powder.

    6.8 Western vs 6.5 PRC

6.8 / .277 anything is for the gays. Fight me. Unless Elk or Moose are also in play, 6.5 Creed is more than enough gun, friendlier to shoot, and gives you far more options for both guns and ammo.

Reccomend a roofer in the FM area

It's time for new shingles, and while I know how, I'd rather not. A big roofing outfit stopped by while they were doing my neighbors house and gave me a quote. I'd like some additional opinions. While their crew was fast, and appeared to do good work, let's just say English was not their...

Yes, and Grafs has 123 ELDM as well, which I would have no problem shooting at game, but I'd rather use a proper "hunting" bullet so my bullet selection isn't blamed for a lost animal when we all know it was poor shot placement.

Anyone have any 6.5mm Hornady 123gr SST they would sell? I'm trying to come up with a deer load for my brothers Grendel, and it's looking good, but I may have less than 40 left when I'm done. While you can get all the 140-class bullets you want, 6.5 bullets in the Grendel range (<130gr) are...

    22 pistols

My Ruger Mark IV Lite is a ton of fun suppressed. I like CCI Standard Velocity. They are sub-sonic out of a short pistol barrel.

    Someone to assemble an AR15

I believe every American should own and know how to assemble an AR. It's not difficult (assuming you have all the right parts), and the parts complement each other. For example: - Gas tube is correct length for gas port location (carbine vs mid vs rifle length). - Gas block is correct size...

Reloading press and supplies- Looking for my first

I don't know that I'd recommend a progressive as your first press. They are notoriously finicky. The fundamentals are best learned slow and steady on a single stage.

Yeah, with anything Creedmoor SRP, you probably want 450s. Although you may still be running a bit hot. The 6.5 CM load I pierced the 400s on was a stiff dose of RL26. It was a screamer, pushing 140s over 3000 FPS out of a 26" barrel. I still have a bunch of those loaded with 450s for...

The 450s and BR4s have a harder / thicker cup. On one load I was messing with, everything was fine with 450s. Then I tested 400s with it and was piercing primers. However, @lazyMlazyK it usually means you should back of the charge, not switch primers.

    Deck advice for guy

+1 on Trex composite and the hidden fasteners. They give it a very "clean" look. It also makes it nicer to shovel off as you don't have all the little bumps each screw hole creates. I built this deck 7 years ago, and it still looks great. I did 6x6 posts in concrete, below the frost line, and...
