    One step that's often overlooked is ending the cleaning cycle with some kind of rust inhibitor, especially if the gun is not going to be shot for a while. Even stainless can pit over time. I finish with one patch sprayed with Hornady OneShot.

    Met 2 guys from IL out elk hunting in CO. We met on a ridge top and found out we had pretty much the same plan for hunting the drainage below. We chatted amicably for a bit and then decided on a plan we thought was mutually beneficial. They seemed like pretty good guys.
