    You're Catching All Dinks

Depends on how much fish I already have in my freezer. A limit of 15s is a good haul any day. After the livewell is full, I'd go looking for some bass.

What lakes are the best fishing

I believe Devils Lake and anywhere on the Mizzou are the standard answers. For me it's closer to run down to the SD glacial lakes, so that's where I spend my time. I doubt you're gonna find anyone giving up specific honey holes on a public forum...

    Have yard infested with dandelions

Yeah, weed and feed does not work in my experience either. What I have found works best is to spray in the fall. Sometime in late September or early October. Don't wait too long, or the weeds will be dormant, and your efforts wasted. You may have to spray both spring and fall to get ahead of...

    Decent air rifle

Depending on the ammo, those single-stroke pellet rifles can put holes in sheet metal (like pole barns, etc) too. Even 20 years ago, those multi-pump bb guns could -- my dad is still not impressed . You might try a 22 lr with bird shot, although the range is limited. Personally, I...

    Calling coyotes in the spring?

Just wondering if anyone has done much of it. I don’t think I’ve ever tried past April 1 for a number of reasons: -It’s time to start fishing -Roads / access can be a muddy mess -Seems like it’s always windy -Mosquitos -I might feel bad shooing a mom…wondering if I just left some pups to...

    NDA Growth

I really like how this site appears to have been designed this century. As a software engineer, I find the awkward chunkiness in usability and 1995-like looks of FBO to be particularly off-putting.

    Spring Tree Planting

It depends on the variety of apple tree. Some are self-pollinating. Also, if others in the area have apple trees, or even crabapples, you probably wont have any trouble with pollination on a single tree. I wasn't sure, so last year I got a honeycrisp and a sweet sixteen and planted them about...

Exploding Targets at the Rifle Range

It’s really too bad that it’s free to shoot there. Even a small fee would probably reduce the duche-baggery to some extent. People literally take their junk from home, shoot it, and leave it there. Seeing all that litter / junk laying around makes me want to punch something. In the past I’ve...

Why so many secrets? Fishing info.

It depends on the lake. Big lakes / river systems have plenty of diversity to offer, so I'll tell you everything I know. However, I've seen small lakes in ne SD get "fished out" over the course of a few months because people can't keep secrets. I guess I'm selfish, but I don't get to fish...

What brand of boat do you run?

2006 Tracker Targa 17ft with 135 Merc Optimax No too fancy, but a pretty big upgrade from the leaky 1980 crestliner with 50 Merc that wouldn't run wide open without pumping the ball the whole time. I think the devil made the carburetors on that thing.
