    Squirrel season extended

Just saw in the new small game proclamation that the squirrel season was extended to February 29. I know very few hunt them but now us folks that chase rabbits after bird seasons close can bag squirrels too.

Who drew ND Antelope tags this year?

Anyone been able to apply? Was just on the website and doesn’t look like it’s available yet

    Sheepshead fish.

I’ve only ever caught one and it was with an arrow while looking for carp. It was about 5 or 6 lbs I suppose, threw it on ice and took it home and pan fried it. It was very good and I would keep every one I could catch, I bled it and trimmed off any red meat. Taste’s just fine to me

    Trolling with Spoons

That method is how I caught my biggest Walleye on Ashtabula, which had a tag.It was a Jointed original rapala on about a 2 foot leader behind a bottom bouncer. It was quite a while back but I’ve done it a few other times, have caught some decent smallmouth and northerns that way also.

    Spinning reel

I’d buy a few Okuma reels, then I’d probably be set for life. I have one that was the first spinning reel I ever owned an still use it. It’s over 15 years old and is still catching fish

    Trolling with Spoons

I’ve caught walleyes while using spoons for northerns, and I catch a lot of walleyes with a Kastmaster spoon from shore

    Spoons, again...

That is awesome! Spoons are an underated lure. I use them quite a bit, catch a lot of smallmouth, walleye, northern, and white bass on them. And no need to feel bad about size of fish kept, those will make some fine meals. Anyone who has a problem with that can kick rocks.

Peta is asking fishermen to be vegan

Quite obvious these people are way out of touch with reality. I think I’ll continue to release all my Walleyes,Northerns, and perch into the fryin pan.

    Trophy Hunting:. Killing or Conservation

While I personally wouldn’t hunt for a trophy, if that is what motivates someone to hunt it’s fine as long as the meat is not wasted. I’d also disagree with those saying no one hunts for meat. Being single and spending a lot of time hunting about the only meat I buy is a steak once and a while...

    New State record

That’s a direct violation of your aunt’s 4th amendment rights, and a big reason why I have never been a supporter of G&F. It is ridiculous that you basically give up your rights when you hunt and fish. I’ve been check by wardens in ND just 3 times in my life and never had a ticket. But searching...

    NRA Corruption

I had been an NRA member for quite awhile, but I let it expire this time, i had paid a 3 year membership in 2016, but heard about all of this money corruption a while back and decided to join Gun Owners of America 2 years ago and I will continue to support them. They are the ones actively...

    Sheds

I agree being required get a tag for the bones of a dead animal is dumb, as is needing a tag for a roadkill deer. Not going to bother calling a warden if I find a skull laying on the ground that’s just silly. - - - Updated - - - Nice sheds ane nice country, looks like a successful trip

    New State record

Lot’s of jealous people on this thread. Heck the longest walleye record was a dead fish, just be happy for the guy and move on it’s just a fish. Who really cares
