2002 Tuffy 1990 Osprey

A friend of mine that was involved in a terrible accident last fall where his boat was basically "run over" by another. He and a passenger barely survived - but his boat did not!

He's shopping for a new boat and ran across a 2002 Tuffy 1990 Osprey - a model that I know nothing about but one that he is interested in knowing more about.

Anybody have feedback for my friend?

I know a guy that runs one and he likes it, but I have never fished from it. I have spent a couple hours running a 2060 which is very similar, and really like the boat. The older Tuffys are narrow, but that gives you awesome control and a great ride. Make sure the transom is solid. They used wood through 2004 before they went all composite.
I used a new Tuffy 2100 last year and really love the boat. The control and ride of the Tuffy is great.
