Lincoln, kinda...
OK, so not being a tourney angler, I have a question.

Why when you look under the Fish category does one see some teams with 4/4 and some with 5/5?

Does ol' Clayton get penalized for past wins?

Clayton such a good stick they only let him bring in 4. But really, just the wrong way of reporting total number of fish they caught.

For assessing a dead fish penalty. 4/4 means you brought 4 fish to the scale and 4 were alive (5/5 - 5 to scale, 5 alive). If it were 3/4 - 4 fish to scale, 3 alive.

At least that's how NWT does it....

4/4 means only 4 fish were weighed that day. Gov. cup is a dead tournament. Fish do not have to be alive.

Results seem to fall around the average of what it takes to win this tournament. Can anyone explain to me why Fort Peck is producing much better results? (Fort Peck July 8th to 9th - 79.56lbs) (Lake Sakakawea July 15th to 16th 39.48lbs?) I believe that both tournaments are 10 fish limits, but could be wrong.

I think its two things.

1.) I believe the primary forage in Peck is cisco which are a better and fattier forage that grow bigger walleye in general compared to smelt.

2.) I think if the ND gov cup was on a different section of the lake the weights would also tend to be a bit more.

only 8 fish per team total 5 only weight in ND per day and MT 5 fish per team per day catch and release. Peck right now is producing some really nice big fish most be class year vs Sak 18" to 21" are hot so good class year. It was good a month ago for the big girls. Slowing up now

MT Gov. cup measures fish and then converts to weight. That is why the weights are inflated.
