IMHO, offering a more expensive prize at a 2nd,3rd, 4th, or 5th, and NOT as a 1st place prize, reduces the chances of low life scum bags from cheating the other 4000 plus fisher-persons who are abiding by the rules. Seems to be a fun deal and also reduces cheating. They have been doing it this way for years and attendees seem to like the prize format offering a nice prize for NOT having the largest fish in a particular specie. Perhaps soft water tourneys can try this approach?
