25-06 is the least likely of the '06 family to suffer mag-box/seating near/into lands fitment. The 25-06 feeds effortlessly with that gentle shoulder angle, long tapered case, and a bullet that's probably NOT jammed right into the end of the mag box. 100gn TSX/TTSX @3300+ doesn't kersplode pelts and is quite the effective deer putter-downer.

I'm interested in how more barrel twist will lead to longer and bigger bullets for the 06.

I've had a 25 since 1993.

Love that killer.

That's about the same year as I got mine. All I knew is that is had the same brass as a 30-06 and smaller bullet like a 0.243. High speed flat shooter I'm in. I've killed a lot of deer and Antelope with that rifle. I need a new stock though.

Only the cool kids shoot a 25-06.

59 gr of RL-22 (I believe, I'd have to look to make sure. I haven't loaded for it in a while) and 100 TSX have whacked many deer and vermin. Right at 3300 fps

Actually the rifle in my avatar is a Rem. 700 Mtn in 25-06. It's a killer!

What rifle do you have that needs a stock?

Yeah, wow, it "beats" the Creed by using between 18% and 45% (depending on the powder) more powder in a long action case. My 7mm Rem mag "beats" my Creed too I guess...
Cartridge debates are kind of dumb, they all have their place.

I don't think the Creed is being slighted. It's about the old guys showing they still have relevance.
