McFeely is right, basketball will be watered down now with 3 class system, just more "winners" with easier path to a "championship" even with far fewer schools today compared to past times

"When Class C dissolved for the 1963-64 school year, it meant 288 boys basketball teams competed in Class B.
Two. Hundred. Eighty. Eight.
Just in Class B.
You want to know why Class B boys basketball was the most important thing in North Dakota since the Homestead Act? That would be why."

Daughter brought home a sheet of all the new rules involved for students and spectators. It's makes it sound like there playing at a convent

I'm sure it was due to the Jamestown vs Bismarck game. From what I saw it was alot of common sense. But since half the parents don't instill quality values in their kids, the school comes up with teaching kids right from wrong. Stuff kids should have learned by the time they were 5 years old. It will mainly affect the kids that don't know right from wrong.

So was 3 class a success?

Sure was for Devils Lake, they swept the A's and I'll bet they'll be a force every year in the A

They will definitely contend most years. But, this year was probably a perfect storm for them. The girls weren't expected to do anything close to a state title and the stars aligned. Mostly cause Thompson lost in the semis amongst a few other things. This was also probably the best boys team in quite some time. They would have competed well in AA. Definitely not state Champs. But, probably tournament bound. Either way, this conversation is definitely expected given the outcome.
