5.56 Greenball Ammo

The Winchester 64 grain Power Point bullet makes a 223/5.56 an effective deer round. Barnes likely makes a bullet that works very well too, but they will cost a lot more/round. A friend of mine once shot a jackrabbit with green tip ball ammo. It ran at least 1/2 mile before bleeding to death. So if you shoot a coyote with one, plan on a hike.

I learned from another member here that m193 ammo is much harder Dee on steel plates than green tip m855 as m193 is a hotter load. This is a pretty smokin' deal on m193:

That 855A1 bullet appears pretty wicked. I know of what you say with 193. Many vids of it punching steel.

I could've spent less than 1/3 of the time he did and actually shown folks the difference between 223 and 5.56 1st hand. Water capacity of commercial vs. military cases then pan over to Quickload and lets see what the lowered internal dimensions of 5.56 does to peak pressure. We're not planning a space shuttle re-entry here, we're talking about loading for the highest volume hand loaded rifle cartridge on the planet.

Most tracers are corrosive, so clean thoroughly right after you're done shooting.
