If you dont like the idea of digital ID, its being backdoored into law right now in many states using "we must protect the children" laws... They are also doing this at the federal level as well. Parents already have the tools needed to protect their children from harmful content on their digital devices, but its easy to pass stuff if you make people scared and convince them its necessary. This stinks like the patriot act did back after 911. Too bad the public is easily tricked into giving up freedom for 'safety'... Remember, theres no way to protect children at the governmental level without infringing on everyone's rights and privacy!

I just did a training yesterday on AI coding. What I saw and was able to create in a short time period blew my mind. We are so much closer to heavy duty task lifting than I ever imagined. I can honestly say I can see jobs eliminated very quickly based on what I saw.

Friend of mine used a pay version of AI to make a webpage for something he's planning on selling. He said it took AI (I don't recall which one) about an hour to have a fully functioning sales website. I was pretty impressed.

Most people, as evidenced by a lot of comments in this thread, have NO IDEA... The amount of power AI can give just about any motivated person is hard to comprehend.

I understand that some of this crap is included in the standards, and thats a big part of the problem. That along with teachers who dont have boundaries around students anymore. Theres no reason students should even KNOW how a teacher leans politically. When I was in school, I had no idea about my teachers, they didnt talk about their personal beliefs or personal lives with children.
You are in luck, the standards you take issue with will be revised or looked at this summer. You can contact DPI if you so choose they are looking for community input. Curious as to where you grew up? I grew up on a farm just outside a town of 50 people and now live in a town of 1800. Classes are 2 sections of approx. 15-20 students in each section. Good or bad my kids know what happens in my life and I know what happens in theirs. In fact I am getting to the age where I taught a lot of their parents. It is one of the perks/downfalls of living in a place where everyone knows everyone, depending on how you look at it. It stinks you didn't have a connection with any of your teachers. I had some really great ones in school, heck half of them were family. The others we spent so much time with outside of school because of sports and whatnot they probably saw me more than my own parents. Most if not all of them were great influences in my life and I strive to be that for the kids I teach.
