A hog will not eat a sugarbeet. I pulled the tops off them and smashed the sugarbeets and they didn't touch them. Think about that when buying Crystal Sugar from the grocery store. All we use is pure Cane Suger.

That really does surprise me @1lessdog .
When we used to hunt ducks back in the day, we would breast them and throw the rest to the hogs and they ate feathers and all.
They would chew on the bones off a steer when we butchered also. Strange creatures.

I'm not doubting your personal experience, but it seems unlikely to apply to all hogs across the board, or to mean anything regarding the sugar produced from beets in general.
IME, deer seem to absolutely love eating sugar beets. What does that mean? Probably also nothing...
