How'd all you fellas finish up? I was a little disappointed I didn't get the call to fish but I did get some projects done around the house.

I should jump in it. Been down at the east end for over a week. Guarantee my basket would have crushed it last night oooooofda.

If I had a dollar every time I heard this but also if I had a dollar every time it happened to me too.

Just admit it 701. Ur just an average weekend warrior that throws out a weekly report on 1-2 days of fishing a week. I've heard ur preaches on the east end since FBO days. Comon Man!

Over the years there has been several walleye tourney trails that have tried to get established in ND and all have failed. The main reason is the competition of other more established big tourneys. You have 2 or 3 big ones in Devils Lake, you have 4 big ones and 3 smaller ones on Sak. I think a tourney trail should be coordinated with 5 big tourneys that already exist. The top 50 teams make a championship tourney in late August or in September. To qualify for the Championship you only have to fish 3 of the 5 tourneys but if you fish all 5 you have a better chance based on a points system. So if they could partner up with lets say the Van Hook, Dakota Classic, Governors Cup and a Devils Lake tourney. If you are already going to fish these tourneys you can also pay additional tourney fees to enter into the walleye trail series. So instead of paying just the $250 you would pay $500. The rules of the tourney would match each other. For the championship they could have their own rules since it is a stand alone tourney.

Anyways it probably will never happen but I believe this would be the best way to get a walleye trail series established in ND.

Couple buddies talked through this last year. We looked at the tournaments with 50 or more boats and gave weighted points. Looked for teams that fished at least three of them and figured out team of year points. Was cool to see how it panned out. It could work. Just need to iron out details.

There are 5 tournaments on Sak with 130 to 252 boats. A few others with 50-60 boats. Should be enough teams within these to put together at least a team of year payout schedule.
