Sounds like there are plenty of openings for the aim weekend series fishing tournament out of ft stevenson next weekend. You can still sign up if anyone on here is interested. This will be my first aim event and it sounded like a good time. It is a one day (Sunday) catch, record, release tourney and sounds like the fishing has really picked up.

Mama is on call for work. Which means I'm on house arrest with the kiddos. Good luck to everyone that is in it.

I just can't understand how all our typical tournaments are always full and then AIM joins the party and attendance sucks. Van Hook tournament a little over a week ago was a full 132 teams and now the AIM tourney is 2 weeks later and can only get 35 teams. I would hate to see AIM go away but if attendance remains like this that is exactly what's going to happen. Please spread the word and lets get this tournament trail going! Good luck to all fishing. This will be the one that I miss due to McQuades weekend in Bismarck.

I agree. I would love to see it stick around a while. This year a lot of the information came out after I was already committed to several others. Next year I will be able to plan better as long as they come back. I have been hoping for a tournament type "trail" or series for a while. I hope they make it.

Yeah I think it will just take time to get the word out. I liked how they did the MO River Tournament in Bismarck. They have some good ideas that sets them apart in a positive way.

Their facebook page was real active the day of the tournament. They provided updates throughout the day, they provided interviews of random team members and also the winners. Holding the tournament on Sunday is a great idea for the working guys and gals, can get a full day prefishing in on Saturday without using a vacation day.

I hope they at least give it another shot in 2017 and see what their registration numbers do.

Personally don't think many people know about them. I had no clue about the Missouri River tournament till it was already over. The other tournys that fill up are established tourneys. The word needs to spread.

Over the years there has been several walleye tourney trails that have tried to get established in ND and all have failed. The main reason is the competition of other more established big tourneys. You have 2 or 3 big ones in Devils Lake, you have 4 big ones and 3 smaller ones on Sak. I think a tourney trail should be coordinated with 5 big tourneys that already exist. The top 50 teams make a championship tourney in late August or in September. To qualify for the Championship you only have to fish 3 of the 5 tourneys but if you fish all 5 you have a better chance based on a points system. So if they could partner up with lets say the Van Hook, Dakota Classic, Governors Cup and a Devils Lake tourney. If you are already going to fish these tourneys you can also pay additional tourney fees to enter into the walleye trail series. So instead of paying just the $250 you would pay $500. The rules of the tourney would match each other. For the championship they could have their own rules since it is a stand alone tourney.

Anyways it probably will never happen but I believe this would be the best way to get a walleye trail series established in ND.

$300 per event. I'm into it for $489 for 3 events including the $35 membership fee. That's my half for our team anyway. The PKC is $300 entry, so I think they are right inline.
