Any one fish Alkaline lake. and how is the access?

I have not been there this year, but last year with a lot less snow the access was blown shut with a 4 Ft plus drift with less snow, there are small trees along the access road that act as a good snow catch. you can get on walking from main road but last year sunk into my waist and there is riprap there also. Please think hard about just driving thru a field to get there or the farmer may pull dock access for summer fishing, just food for thought. dukgnfsn

I live 8 miles away. Haven't been there yet but I would guess access is going to suck. I plan on making it up there in next day or two. I will report its what I see. Have a blazer with 40" tires so I might be able to make it on. :;:howdy

Finally made it up today. Went on the north end. Not really too bad to get on but you won't be driving a vehicle around. 1-2 feet of snow once you are on. I would say a sled or tracked atv is about it. I drove around with my Blazers but I have full lockers and 40 inch tires. Ended up with two walleye. Nobody out but me but looks like some people have been on the lake with utv with tracks. It's doable but be prepared.
