Revelation 21:1-6a (NRSV)

​All Saints Day

[SUP]1[/SUP]Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. [SUP]2[/SUP]And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [SUP]3[/SUP]And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;

Death will be no more;mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away."
[SUP]5[/SUP]And the one who was seated on the throne said, "See, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true." [SUP]6[/SUP]Then he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life.

In one year! That's a mountain of grief. I think often of those who my wife and I have lost. Our son was the toughest. We look forward to the reunion, but dont rush it Zog we would miss you.

He was mid 40s. As for the article you included it was spot on. Being an angel in heaven would be a demotion. We are sons and daughters of God.

My dad has been gone over two years now, and yesterday afternoon, I dang near called him. Kind of a punch in the gut when you realize they're not just a phone call away.

Thanks for your thoughts. Without getting into a long story I did not meet my sisters until 10 years ago. They were truly the nicest ladies I ever have known. All from the Jamestown area.
